    We do not collect any user's personal information without their permission.

  • Why We Collect Users' Contact List Information?

    Explanation: Mybuddys App collects contact list information to enhance the user experience by:

    • Finding Friends: Helping users find friends who are also using the Mybuddys App.
    • Enabling Communication: Displaying a list of users who have enabled chat services, allowing for easy communication via the chat page and its functionalities.
    • Suggesting Connections: Using the contact list information to suggest connections with users who are already members of communities related to the user's profile. This feature helps users discover and join relevant communities that their contacts have already joined, thereby improving the overall user experience.
  • How do we use personal information?

    We use the information we collect to deliver and enhance our Products, including:

    • Personalisation: Tailoring features and content (such as your Buds page, Stories, and ads) and making suggestions for you (like groups or events you might be interested in) on and off our Products.
    • Connections and Interests: Creating personalised experiences based on your connections, preferences, interests, and activities, including any special data you choose to provide.
    • Interaction Data: Using data about how you use and interact with our Products, as well as the people, places, or things you're connected to, to make your experience unique and relevant.

    Additionally, we use location-related information such as your current location, the places you frequently visit, and the businesses and people you're near to provide, personalise, and improve our Products and ads. This includes precise device location if you have permitted us to collect it.

  • When do we share personal data?

    We share your personal data under the following circumstances:

    • Activity Sharing: If you share content, such as a bud or message, with specific Mybuddys users, they can download, screenshot, or reshare that content. When you comment on or react to someone else's content, your comment or reaction is visible to anyone who can see that content. The content’s audience may be changed by the original poster.
    • Third-Party Apps and Services: When you use third-party apps, websites, or services integrated with Mybuddys, they may receive information about your activities. For example, game developers or websites with Mybuddys integrations may access details about your interactions. These services can also access your public profile and any shared information. Note that any information collected by third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.
    • Public Profile Information: Third-party services may access your public Mybuddys profile and any information you choose to share with them. However, they will not receive additional information about your Mybuddys connections or followers beyond what you explicitly share.

    It is important to review the terms and policies of any third-party services you use as they handle your information independently of our policies.

  • Your rights in relation to personal data?

    Under the GDPR, you have rights regarding your personal data, including:

    • Access to Personal Information: The right to access the personal data we hold about you.

  • Fake News / Buds ?

    Any kind of content which spreads deliberate misinformation, hoaxes or fake propaganda, with the intent to mislead, is not permitted. We prohibit posting of content that exaggerates an existing piece of news by introducing non-factual elements into it.

    If you intend to mislead our users or attempt to create a sensation by straight-up fabricating content, or attempt to damage someone’s reputation, or hurt their financial or political standing on the basis of false information, we will not let it spread on our Platform.

    Don’t worry though. We don’t confuse fake news with any satire or parodies. We know they are to amuse, and not to mislead.

  • Use of automated decision-making and profiling

    Where you use profiling or other automated decision-making, you must disclose this in your privacy policy. In such cases, you must provide details on existence of any automated decision-making, together with information about the logic involved, and the likely significance and consequences of the processing of the individual.
